Why does zero voltage occur?

Zero voltage refers to the voltage across the battery terminals being zero. When the battery is disconnected, there is no current flowing through the battery, so the voltage across the terminals is also zero.

The causes of zerovoltageare:

  • Broken poles
  • Poor cross welding

  • Poor terminal welding

In addition, internal short circuit, aging and failure, and over discharge of the battery may also cause zero voltage.

If the battery has zero voltage, the battery should be checked and the fault should be eliminated in time.

Preventive measures for zero voltage:

  • Use the battery correctly to avoid overcharging and overdischarging

  • Check the battery regularly to ensure that the battery connection is firm

  • Replace aging and failing batteries
